Synopsis
SPREAD YOUR GARMENT OVER ME (Ruth, 3:9) is a collection of fifteen monologues and songs that centers around the voices of women of the Bible as mothers, wives, sisters and friends. It provides a unique perspective on the lives of these very intriguing women, capturing their spirits and characters, and explores how God has guided their lives.
The cast consists of 15+ women, ages 20-70+. Both singing and non-singing roles available. Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script. Please prepare a one-minute song to sing acapella or with your own digital tracks if interested in a singing role.
Women who sing: Sarah, Rahab, Deborah, Michal, Anna, Syro-Phoenician Woman,
Woman at the Well
Women who do not sing: Narator, Eve, Dinah, Witch of Endor, Rizpah, Woman Caught in
Adultery (3 women), Claudia (Pilate’s Wife), Peter’s Wife, Mary Magdalene
The show will run November 8 - 10, 2024.
