Get ready for an incredible experience at Fearless, a peer-led retreat that empowers 8th and 9th graders to uncover their God-given gifts and deepen their faith! In 2025, we’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new venue and an exciting two-night adventure packed with outdoor activities like canoeing, a low ropes course, rock wall climbing, and cozy bonfire nights filled with s'mores. Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning as a 9th grader, this weekend promises to be an unforgettable journey of faith, fellowship, and fun!

  • Location: The Peaks Retreat Center

  • Dates: April 4-6, 2025

  • Time: 6:00pm drop off on the 4th at The Peaks Retreat Center on Friday evening-2pm Mass and celebration on Sunday the 6th (we will provide transportation back to OLN with a bus)

  • Cost: $100 (covers all lodging, food, materials, and transportation from The Peaks to OLN for closing mass on the 6th)

  • Who can attend: 8th and 9th graders from all Roanoke area parishes

FAQs

When is the retreat?
FEARLESS 2025 will be begin Friday, April 4 at 6pm at The Peaks Retreat Center and end with closing Mass and celebration on Sunday, April 6 at 2pm at OLN.

Who is able to attend?

8th and 9th grade youth from the Roanoke Valley are able to register. 


Where is the retreat and how do I get there?
FEARLESS 2025 will take place at The Peaks Retreat Center in Thaxton, VA. 

What is the cost of the retreat? 
The cost of the 2025 retreat is $100. That includes everything- meals, snacks, accommodations, and all supplies needed while you're there! This also includes transportation to OLN for all youth for the closing Mass and dinner; please make sure you have arrangements to arrive by 6pm at The Peaks on Friday evening.

When is the registration deadline?
REGISTRATION CLOSES Sunday, February 9. Registration is done on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if we reach our max before February 9th, registration will close early.

Where do I pay the registration fee after I complete my online registration?
All fees will be paid online using the Square App, which is provided at the bottom of the registration form.

What are the sleeping arrangements?
The Peaks Retreat Center has two large buildings that sleep up to 40 people per building. Youth will be separated by gender, with females in one building and males in the other.


What do I need to bring?
We will send you a packing list, but some of the key items to bring are an open mind and heart! Other than that, youth will need a sleeping bag/sheets, pillow, toiletries, a hairdryer (if needed), pjs, comfortable sneakers, two changes of clothes, and an outfit for closing mass!

​Why should I come on retreat?
Retreats provide an opportunity for us to step away from the stress of our day-to-day lives and refocus our attention on our relationship with God. If you let it, going on retreat can be an unforgettable experience for both your heart and your soul!
